Bio

With over 30 years of experience in project management, process improvement, and human resources, I’ve successfully navigated transitions across various industries and roles. Having worked at companies like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Johnson & Johnson, I understand firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with launching a career.

As a mentor, I aim to offer guidance on key areas to support your personal and professional growth, including:

Personal Development Skills: Offering practical advice on budgeting, organization, time management, and work-life balance—key skills for managing the demands of school, work, and life.

Career Exploration & Pathways: Helping you identify your interests, strengths, and potential career paths in today’s competitive job market.

Job Search Strategies: Providing guidance on crafting resumes, optimizing LinkedIn profiles, and networking effectively to land internships and full-time positions.

Interview Preparation: Sharing strategies to navigate interviews with confidence, answer challenging questions, and communicate your value to potential employers.

Building Professional Skills: Highlighting the key competencies employers look for, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management—critical skills for any role.

Workplace Expectations & Culture: Offering advice on transitioning from college to the workplace, understanding company culture, collaborating effectively with diverse teams, and growing your career in a professional environment.

Whether you’re just starting your college journey, exploring career options or preparing to step into the workforce, I’m here to help you navigate this exciting and transformative stage of your life.

Prior Experience

* Mom of a 22 and 21 year old. :)

* Team Leader in a call center at First Union for four years where I managed over 15 phone representatives and also managed a few junior project managers for two years.

Why Mentor?

Interested in helping students be more confident navigating their job search and becoming a productive adult. My kids say that I have helped them a lot and their friends. I am currently not working although looking for part-time work, but I have the time now to do something that I would enjoy.
