Bio

I began my career at Coke Consolidated in 1989, working as a temporary employee in the Accounts Receivable department, where I was tasked with copying invoices for collectors. In November 1989, I was offered a permanent role as an assistant clerk—the lowest position, but a crucial foot in the door. I worked hard, eager to learn, and quickly moved up the ranks to Clerk, then assistant Collector, and eventually Collector. During this time, I took the initiative to automate manual processes, such as using Mail Merge in MS Word to send hundreds of letters to past-due customers, which often helped bring them back to current status.
In 1991, I transitioned to the Tax Department as a management trainee. Over the next six years, I had the opportunity to contribute to various areas, helping to automate processes. I developed a system to track DOT records for CDL drivers, implemented software to manage expirations, and streamlined Sales and Use Tax, Property Taxes, and Payroll Tax processes. I also worked closely with the Aviation department to automate flight scheduling.
In 1997, three major milestones happened: I graduated with an MBA in May, joined Data Ventures in July, and welcomed the birth of my son in November. At that time, Data Ventures was a partnership between Consolidated and a technology company. It officially became an independent entity in November 1997, and I’m proud to say I’ve been part of this journey for over 27 years. Throughout my time at Data Ventures, I’ve had the privilege of leading operations in Category Management and Loyalty Card Analytics. Our team of scientists develops custom algorithms from scratch, and now, as the leader of the application team, I oversee the delivery of these analytics through applications. We’ve worked with clients such as The Coca-Cola Company, Procter & Gamble, Shell Global, Shell US, Delhaize, and NYMEX.
In the last four years, we’ve shifted our focus internally, helping to build apps for Consolidated. My career has been a journey of continuous learning, technical innovation, and a commitment to improving processes.
