Bio

Lisa spent 32 years with Ingersoll Rand in the industrial manufacturing industry. There she served in diverse roles to expand her knowledge and experiences, starting in sales enablement, sales management, product management, general manager of a manufacturing plant and retired as Director of Sales for North America. Lisa was a mentor to many men and women within the organization, particularly passionate about supporting aspiring female talent within the organization. Lisa chaired and developed a Women's Emerging Leadership program in 2022, with the primary focus of nurturing women in achieving the next level of leadership in their careers.

Prior Experience

During my professional career, I managed and led a variety of teams (commercial and operations) that allowed the opportunity for mentoring and developing individuals. On a volunteer basis I chaired and developed a program for women in early leadership development (2022 until my departure in 2023). In 2022 I participated as a mentor in Women MAKE Mentorship pilot program, part of Women Make American Manufacturing. In 2021-2023 I mentored two women as part of a pilot inclusion group mentoring group established where I worked. Informally, I mentored several team members that worked in customer service roles that expressed interest in moving into outside sales roles. Both successfully navigated the transition into sales over the course of about 1.5 years. Personally, I have two adult children that I have mentored and supported with their selection of majors, course work and internship programs.

Why Mentor?

Ove my 33 years in industrial sales and leadership roles, I tended to be one that gravitated to helping others navigate their development and careers. Early in my career, very few women were in the industry for sales and I was asked to help those interested in exploring roles. I found the mentoring and development of others very rewarding. Not only did I help others grow, but through the process, I continued in my own development. The Sparks program aimed at college students allows me to continue doing something I enjoy while supporting young adults that have so much ahead of them.
