Married for 36 years (Monica) and have 1 son (Jackson).
Graduated from MSU in 1988 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Acquired my Masters of Science in Engineering from Purdue while working for General Motors.
Worked for Newport News Shipbuilding for 1 year out of college (1988). Then moved home to Michigan to accept a position with General Motors.
Worked in multiple product Engineering positions throughout my career at GM.
- I became an Engineering Manager in 1999.
- Promoted to Director of Engineering in 2012 (Chassis, Specs, Interior)
- Retired from GM - May 2025
I currently live in Michigan with my wife. My son is in Kansas City working for Garmin as a Software Engineer.

Prior Experience

I spent the past 13 years as a GM Engineering Executive (Director). As such, I mentored many people to help further their careers. I also created and lead a leadership book club for over 10 years that consisted of employees that worked for me (current and past). The intent was to drive collective learning and improvement in leadership skills by studying past leaders and also gathering input from the experience of current leaders. I was also a coach on a FIRST robotics team - mentoring and guiding high school kids to learn leadership and technical skills that would benefit them throughout their lives.

Why Mentor?

I want to continue to give to others as I have done with my employees at GM. I am now retired and would like to find a way to help others to grow and achieve their personal goals.
