Coming off 2 very successful growth years John was asked to change to the IDEX Band-It business as the VP Heritage Business with the task of stabilizing this business and getting it back into a growth mode. Within 12 months a major reorganization was in place from both inside the company and at the
channel level. In 2017 John accepted the role of Vice-President & General Manager of the Rhinestahl AMG business. With full P&L responsibility he reorganized the business to maximize operational excellence and drive the order book to the largest backlog in the company’s history while setting a strategy for long term growth.

Prior Experience
As an executive in business, I was involved in mentoring high potential employees as well as working with employees that were identified as having untapped potential. These were typically formal in nature with recurring sessions built around goals for both the current period as well as long tern career goals.
In addition, I informally mentored other employees both in my organization and outside with specific advice and discussion around specific individual needs but in a less formal format.
Why Mentor?
I miss being in a role where I can help and support others in their career and life journeys. Even in retired life I find myself being sought after by younger people in my life for advice ranging from personal finance to career issues. Mentoring and helping others to grow and meet their goals has always been important to me as a leader, colleague or friend.
