Bio

Mike Conley
Vice President, Information Technology Services
East Penn Manufacturing Co.
With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, I currently serve as Vice President of Information Technology Services at East Penn Manufacturing. My career has spanned infrastructure management, cybersecurity, data center operations, and enterprise IT strategy. I hold a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Alvernia University and maintain certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, and Security disciplines.
At East Penn, I lead initiatives that drive innovation, operational resilience, and digital transformation. I’m actively involved in shaping our IT leadership roadmap, overseeing areas such as risk and security, innovation and transformation, and organizational value creation.
I also serve as a key contributor to our incident response planning and strategic project evaluations. As a mentor, I’m passionate about helping others navigate the early stages of their careers. Whether it’s offering guidance on career paths, connecting mentees with industry contacts, or simply being a sounding board, I believe in the power of shared experience.

Prior Experience

Over the years, I’ve actively mentored and coached colleagues across various levels and functions, tailoring my approach to each individual’s goals and context.
One notable example is my mentorship of leader in a subsidiary, which began with a structured kickoff meeting to align on expectations, goals, and communication cadence.
I followed up with a detailed coaching framework in the document with the individual, where I outlined a roadmap that included goal setting, identifying strengths and development areas, and establishing a feedback loop.
This structured yet flexible approach helped create a productive and trusting mentoring relationship.
I’ve also contributed to leadership development through talent planning. In the Talent Review, I identified high-potential individuals and outlined specific development activities, including mentoring responsibilities for future leaders.
This reflects my belief in cascading mentorship—developing leaders who, in turn, mentor others.
I have participated in leadership programs like LEAD Keystone, where I engaged in peer coaching and shared real-life leadership challenges.

Why Mentor?

I truly believe this is a fantastic outreach program with the potential to make a real difference in someone's career. Those early years of professional growth can be challenging, and having a trusted person to turn to can be an invaluable source of support and encouragement.
