Maria Martin

Advisory Board President

Maria's background is a tapestry of cultural diversity. She was born in South Africa, the child of Greek immigrants. Her career, spanning over a decade in the motor and consumer goods industries in a developing country, has been pivotal in shaping her mission: to empower individuals to create a positive impact in the world, one person at a time. Maria believes that success lies in building relationships with those who embody the values she respects and from whom she can learn and grow. Recognizing that not everyone has access to environments that foster growth, she is committed to creating opportunities for those striving to better themselves and, in turn, become impactful global citizens. Maria's professional journey took a new turn when she moved to the USA with her family in 2007. There, she re-entered the corporate sector, bringing her expertise in operations, human resources, and process management. This path led her to collaborate with Ted Bozarth, with whom she shares a deep-seated desire to enhance people's lives. Serving on the Advisory Board of SetFire, Maria is honored to contribute towards their shared goal of making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
